Day 29

Day 29 shoes, miniature, clay, paper photography/clay
A couple weeks ago I wanted to make some small paper shoes for a shoot. I thought they would look cool. They were ok, but not as nice as I hoped. So tonight I made some out of polymer clay. I wanted to display them on upside down stemware, but the slight inward bevel kept making them fall... so you get cupcake papers instead. I originally made 3 pairs of shoes, but the ankle strap on one of them broke, so I put a paper one in the middle, but had to fix the sole a little as it was a little detached. I hope you enjoy them anyways.

For those who like to look at my other shot of the day, you can see it Here

Dave,I've looked thguorh many of yourvideos. A treasure trove of information here.I have many of my short biz videos whichwere converted a while back into .flv(flash format) by a guy I had hired(he's gone now and I have to now learn on my own).My question: does any of the programs whichyou recommend (Vegas, Final Cut) importflash video clips? Is there a program youwould recommend? The Freebie programsjust don't cut it. Thank you Dave.

Such creative and whimsical shoes. You have presented them beautifully on the cupcake cups with the striped background!

These are exquisite. So tiny and delicate. It must have taken you hours to make those three shoes! And then you had to photograph them. And one of them made out of paper. Oh my, you are one very talented lady. The photos are great by the way, and I like the background you've chosen, it fits perfectly with the shoes.

Wow, those are really cool! Such creativity and artistic endeavour. It never ceases to amaze me at how ingenious you are, and what a lot of work you go to for your shots. I have no idea how you find the time! The use of the cupcake papers works so well and I think better than stemware would have done. They look like they are being presented in a shoo window for sale. They always only show you one... Too cute and beautiful for words.

At first glance, I thought that they WERE shoes and the cupcake paper finally registered size. Amazing idea. I love the heel made of clear beads.

These are AWESOME! You know they sell shoes like these in stores for a small fortune, EACH shoe. I really don't know whats cooler, the shoes or the photo. It's a tough down the middle call!

Killerheels! Amazing, the amount of detail in the shoes and actually making them yourself plus shooting them this way. I can imagine SATC actrices walking on these. Can I show this to some shoefans? I wonder why you choose to shoot the third differently, it seems closer and the stripes reversed.
