Jan states that the caborn emission cap will come nowhere near being effective in keeping us from going over 450 PPM in time. She's correct but for the wrong reasons. The Chinese and others are pumping more CO2 into the atmosphere than we are. Our lone efforts are meaningless. She also speaks of moral imperatives. How about we start building non-polluting nuclear power plants? This will generate jobs for Americans, displace one for one fossil fuel consumption, and when plug-in hybrids like the Chevy Volt hit America's roads, will begin to displace foreign oil consumption. We all win. Oh, and Janice takes offense to the nuclear power loan guarantees? Well, I hope not! We need the non-polluting electricity that the 100 nuclear power plants we have. I just wish we have 500 so that no coal miners would die in America, and that there would be far less pollution into the atmosphere.10:1 odds this does not get posted!
